I hope this site takes off, a place for inventors is needed. As for myself, I'm retired now, but still keeping my hand in the trades by taking care of an old building in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, VI. I started as a machinist, then fabricator-weldor, then instrument maker for a marine lab. Made a flume 80ft long with a test section 3'X3'X40'. The pump moved 220 gal/sec, worked out to about 2 knots. Moved to the VI in 1979, been in the maintenance fields since. Took care of marinas, condos, and now a building made about 1800. I enjoy inventing, love a good challenge. Can't get my bootstrap device to work, no surprise there. I have loads of drawings, every now and then one will finally appear in the market, it's called parallel thinking. I clearly remember back in the 70's when my friends all said "A jet powered surfboard, that's crazy, nobody will want one!" I didn't have the right pump, and if the outboard had of started, it probably would have taken my leg off.
